Please note, for the UK based candidates, this role will be located in Farnborough and relocate to Greater London area at later stage.
Purpose of the role:
To research, analyze and synthesize 1st and 3rd party data to identify trends that define and drive tactical and strategic decision making around application development and consumption. The role will be expected to communicate these findings and recommendations to a wide range of audiences within the developer experience and marketplace division as well as other parts of the organization
Main Responsibilities:
•
•Guiding content strategy in key countries through analyzing and discovering unique qualities of content consumption
•Understanding content inventory within the Ovi Store and providing guidance on how to stock the shelves for consumers interests, ultimately leading to more downloads and sales
•Defining, developing and communicating on-going decision making frameworks on content management
•Creating actionable insights from primary (using tools such as Omniture, QlikView, etc) and secondary data sources (eg. comScore, Nielsen, Distimo, etc) data sources
• Monitoring the competitive landscape and identifying ways to outflank the competition
•Researching, compiling and presenting monthly presentations and reports for the management team on the current state of the app content market, with tactical and strategic recommendations.
•Performing content deep dives on specific topics on an ad-hoc basis
•Building consumer profiles and segment based on behavior for better merchandising, acquisition and retention
•Managing suppliers of data and research as required
•Developing appropriate communications channels for key audience(s) and decision makers*
•Carrying out root/cause analysis in more complex problems.
•Being accountable for the quality, accuracy and efficiency of the output
•Providing guidance on content differentiation and innovation, based on emerging content trends
Qualifications
- Excellent experience of data synthesis, modeling and sensitivity analysis
- Degree level, MBA preferred but not essential
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills - evidence of project documents / specifications
- Numerate and will have used analytical and logical skills to solve complex problems
- Experience of owning and delivering bodies of work to present to senior management
- Day-to-day experience with working with excel, PowerPoint and other data rich tools such as qlikview
- Good interpersonal skills.
