Purpose of the role:
Define and drive Nokia's overall app content strategy and new business opportunities. The role will accomplish this by
1) compiling, analyzing and synthesizing industry and 1st data, the competition, consumer and technology trends
2) preparing and defining business cases, plans and strategies
3) driving them to ensure they are executed accordingly
Main Responsibilities:
•Work with the unit and sub head business heads of the Developer Experience & Marketplace to shape and influence overall strategy approach on content-related topics
•Lead all aspects of strategy/ market assessment projects including scoping, business modelling, research, analysis, synthesis and communications demonstrating thought leadership, innovative thinking, and project management in equal measures
•Responsible for Nokia's content app policy from store to our intake system
•Prepare, build and frame business cases around new content opportunities, verticals and categories
•Understand and track developments in regional and local regulatory affairs, local content policies and ensure compliance, at all times where appropriate
•Prepare and present communications about strategies, initiatives, and projects to various levels of the organization, including senior management
•Lead and make contributions to multiple key strategy and business development projects simultaneously
•On occasion contribute to business planning processes and related communications
•When required, execute on qualitative research and reasonable amount of quantitative analysis to support strategy/ business development and value creation efforts
•When required, provide support on aspects of the acquisition process such as research and evaluation, negotiation support, business case development, and due diligence planning and implementation
•Participate in or lead key internal knowledge building initiatives
This role ensures that there is a compelling market driven content strategy and portfolio for key industry verticals that differentiates Nokia devices and provides attractive apps and content for consumers and revenues for ecosystem. It also ensure s that Nokia content policies and offerings comply with relevant regulations. Thus, the role materially impacts financial success of the device business (device attractiveness via content) and ecosystem revenue
Qualifications
•Passionate about the digital content business. Has worked in mobile and media for a few years.
•Follows multiple digital content blogs, twitter feeds and tech evangelists
•Strategic thinker who can see the "big picture
•Consumer-focused and passionate about what goes mainstream and why
•Strong analytical skills, inquisitive, problem solver but at all time creative
•Self-starter, able to motivate others, relay vision
•Strong communication and people skills-- flexible team player/collaborator
•Works well under pressure and deadlines
•Very organized, proven project management experience
•MBA preferred but not essential with high commercial acumen
