Fully functioning, non-supervisory position, responsible for delivering employee relations counseling to managers and associates through the Personnel Center delivery channel. Independently deals with the more difficult and sensitive issues.
Qualifications
• A Bachelors Degree in HR Management or a related field.
• Three + years of experience as an HR Generalist or Employee Relations Specialist is required.
• Proficiency with computers, including MS Office and Internet applications.
• Strong typing skills and the ability to effectively multitask.
• Ability to effectively document case notes in a case management system in a clear and concise manner.
• Ability to handle ambiguous HR-related issues and apply sound judgment
• Ability to influence both managers and associates to follow HR-related advice and counsel guidance.
• Ability to manage risk while ensuring optimal value and outcomes are achieved.
• Ability to weigh the relative importance, adequacy, and validity of information to form fact-based opinions, solve problems and make sound recommendations.
• Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and resolve in a timely manner.
• Communicates effectively (both in writing and when speaking) using clear, concise and simple language
• Demonstrates a sense of commitment to work and willingly assumes responsibility for accomplishing objectives; is dependable, and conscientiously follows through on commitments.
• Demonstrates the ability to concentrate on a task, despite interruptions, distractions and competing demands.
Desired Knowledge, Skills, Experience, and Education: • Masters Degree in HR Management or a related field.
• PHR/SPHR Certification(s).
