General Accountant Job

Assisting the Accounting Department, and General Accountants, you will coordinate basic transactions of issuance of receipts and invoices, bank reconciliation, cinema daily collection report and data entry. It will support the team in delivering set organisational and departmental targets and objectives within the required timescales and to the appropriate standard. Reporting to the Senior Accountant, your key duties and responsibilities will include:
Duties & Responsibilities
Receipts, Invoice and Notes Issuance:
• Issuing accurately invoices and receipts to suppliers.
• Credit and Debit Notes issuance particularly Screen Ads and Publicity expenses.
• Filling and process the necessary accounting entries.
Bank Reconciliations:
• Ensures entries reconcile with financial records processed.
• Submission of bank reconciliation statement every 15th of the month.
• Monitor deposits and disbursements.
• Filling.
Daily Collection Report:
• Updating day to day cinema report in UAE and other territories (Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, Jordan, Lebanon), i.e. collections, films.
• Monitors weekly film share report.
• Ranking of the movie released for the week ended.
• Data entry to excel and transferring to Tally.
• Transmit reports to owners and suppliers.
Assists Senior Accountants
• Handling the duties and responsibility of other Assistant Accountants during their absence.
• Other accounting duties that may be assigned from time to time


Experience and Qualifications

• Accounting Graduate with intermediate chartered accountant / Cost and Management Accountant / ACCA qualification
• 2-3 years Experience
• Familiar with accounting packages like tally, focus. Preference to exposure to MS Dynamics / Navision.
• Excellent English Written and Spoken Communication Skills (Arabic a Plus)
