Description
This is a commissioned technical sales position responsible for winning client, server and infrastructure business on Intel products in the Government, Education, and Medical (GEM) sector. The ETS (Enterprise Technical Specialist) will work with a group of Business Development Managers to educate & drive preference for Intel products at end customer accounts and throughout the broader ICT (information and communication) ecosystem (iSVs, MNC, SI, Local OEMS).
The primary responsibilities of the ETS will include: understanding end customer technical issues & challenges, presenting & demonstrating how Intel technologies (vPRO, Deep Safe, IPT, TXT) can address those problems, working with the broader ecosystem to deploy and implement those technologies, & driving key end customer issues back through Intel product Divisions to improve our product designs. Potentially duties may also include; authoring technical white papers, delivering webinar presentations on technical issues relevant to the public sector, and blogging about technical issues.

Technical Knowledge & Technical Solution Selling - Knowledge of enterprise IT technologies, Intel products and platforms and their relationship to enterprise solutions. Familiar with a broad range of current and emerging vertical and horizontal technologies and products and familiar with technology trends. Ability to apply solution selling methodology to optimize available resources available for achieving sales goals including a solid understanding of the ecosystem. Ability to support an experienced sales team (including project management and technical resources) in developing and executing a solution sales plan.
Industry Knowledge - Familiar with fundamental business concepts and terminology in one or more assigned vertical industries. Formulate points of view on market direction, emerging technologies and their application in solving business challenges, and ability to influence customers strategically. Understand market and industry trends. Presentations in public forum to validate industry recognition as subject matter expert.
The ideal candidate should possess a Computer Science or Electrical Engineering degree. Additional qualifications should include:
- Outstanding verbal, written and public speaking communication skills
- Technical understanding and broad based comprehension and experience navigating the ecosystems and business operations structure of complex fortune 100 enterprise information technology and data center environments.

Qualifications
You should possess a Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Computer Science or Engineering with more than ten years of experience selling to 'or' managing Public Sector IT Enterprise Operations. Additional qualifications include:
- Must be able to describe complex technology solutions in business terms and demonstrate business value to customers
- Understand public sector enterprise solutions, Intel (R) architecture, and competitor solutions
- Ability to articulate Intel's hardware, software, and solutions strategies and roadmap.
- Technical competence in Public Sector IT solutions and communications infrastructure (eg: knowledge of different architectural models & implementations such as VDI, Security Issues and Solutions, and Line of Business Applications).
- Specific Knowledge in HPC Clusters, the HPC Ecosystem, and HPC Application is a key differentiator for candidates
