The business partner community is growing rapidly, becoming more sophisticated, knowledgeable and diverse in skills, products, and services. This is a community of powerful resources and potential business allies. The Territory Sales Discipline reflects the intent of the Territory Model to go-to-market extensively through partners. The Mid Market Sales Management specialty leads this role for the Territory Sales Discipline.

Specialty Characteristics:

• Individuals within this specialty are considered the experts in the utilization of the business partner community in the assigned territory.

• Develops and manages the profile of all business partners: strengths, skills, knowledge.

• Establishes partner relations that permit a smooth flow of leads to and from the partners.

• Skilled in recruiting partners and transferring skills to the partner community.

• Establishes teamwork with the Territory Manager to identify co-marketing opportunities.

• Establishes teamwork with brands to provide support to the partner on the coverage map.
