Requirements for this role include:
· ~5-6 years Direct Marketing experience
· ~3-4 years project/program management experience
· Undergraduate degree in liberal arts, marketing or other analytical discipline
· MBA or similar graduate degree in Marketing strongly preferred
· Experience crafting marketing plans for online brands
· Experience partnering on research initiatives that successfully inform in-market tactics
· Demonstrated experience marketing on behalf of a sales team that sells on a CPM basis
· Experience launching both consumer and trade advertising and marketing awareness and lead generation campaigns
· Understanding of CRM best practices

The Senior Manager, Marketing will lead day-to-day online marketing efforts for About.com, CalorieCount.com and ConsumerSearch.com. S/he is a professional who is simultaneously analytical and creative, and who has deep experience marketing for display- and search-advertising supported organizations. S/he is also a heavily strategic, proactive individual who understands how to merchandise a brand online to both Consumers and the Trade (i.e. to agencies, marketers and end users).
Trade (B2B) Marketing:
The leader in this role must understand how to plan a curriculum of trade communications and programs in all key online and offline marketing channels that positively influence media buyers’ consideration, conviction and conversion. This includes everything from overseeing trade advertising, trade show marketing, sales and merchandising materials and other trade programs and promotions. Also of focus is key account marketing, which focuses on up-selling key accounts in core verticals by consulting the Sales team on the right bundles of editorial, research and program-based value capable of helping clients meet their marketing goals.
Consumer (B2C) Marketing:
The Senior Manager, Marketing must also have experience marketing and advertising a Top 20 internet property to consumers in all online and offline channels. Because consumer efforts focus on generating user interactions with content, this individual must demonstrate the ability to harness research findings in order to craft targeted email, newsletter, social, mobile and other marketing communication strategies and creative delivers user engagement. Experience crafting loyalty-generating online and offline communications for various audience types is required. Experience in CRM, contact strategy, privacy and consumer data analysis is necessary.
Additionally, the Marketing Communications Manager will serve as the as a key point of contact for all creative agencies. S/he will be responsible for the project management, execution and budgeting of all About Group advertising campaigns and communications, from inception through measurement and results of campaigns.
