Enterprise Cisco Voice Engineer
Job description
Participates in design, development and implementation of systems engineering activities, to include OS technical support, systems programming and data center capabilities. Responsible for components of complex engineering and/or analytical tasks and activities. Assists in establishment of input/output processes and working parameters for hardware compatibility and coordination of subsystems design and integration of total system. Serves as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource; provides tech knowledge and capabilities as team member and individual contributor. Will not have direct reports but will influence and direct activities of a team related to special initiatives or operations. Provides input on staffing, budget and personnel. Typically 5 or more years of systems engineering experience.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
Responsible for design and engineering of enterprise/call center voice platforms at Bank of America, based on business requirements or defined standards within the technology organization.
· Understand and assess organizational uses and assist in development of policies and procedures that will guide engineering efforts.
· Validate existing designs meet or exceeds known requirements, and make recommendations to enhance/improve existing environment/standards based on company/industry/product knowledge and security standards.
· Provide 4th level technical and operational support of new and existing infrastructure on an as needed basis in a 7x24x365 environment
· Identify inefficiencies and make recommendations for process improvements and cost reductions
Desired Skills:
Extensive technical experience working with large VoIP network using Cisco Voice solutions including CUCM, Unity Connection Voice Mail, CUCIMOC, SCCP, Jabber and SIP.
· Broad working knowledge of call routing in complex fortune 500 company with QSIG, MGCP, CAC, H323 and SIP normalization using header manipulation
· Firm understand of TDM, VoIP and call control disciplines as well as NextGen networks using Click to Click & B2BUA and IMS utilizing WebRTC and HTML5.
· Experience integrating to Avaya, Cisco, Genesys, and Sonus products
· SIP and Traditional ISDN/PRI Trunking
· VoIP endpoint configuration to meet site specific environmental requirements
· Sonus Gateway Technology configuration and/or integration experience
· VLANs, switchport configuration, layer two networking, and QOS
E911 configuration on Cisco and Avaya products
