Position Description :
To supervise and coordinate all plant maintenance and engineering activities. To ensure that all assets are properly maintained and operational to meet production requirements. To oversee all planning involved in asset upgrades and installation.
Specific Duties :
• Ensures efficient maintenance of all plant buildings, grounds and production equipment.
• Develops proper control procedures for maintenance function such as work orders, work schedules, equipment listing, and machinery.
• Consults with production personnel to determine equipment operating and maintenance needs.
• Manages all maintenance and engineering activities to ensure an efficient productive plant operation.
• Maintains sufficient spare parts inventory and ensures adequate inventory control.
• Hires, trains, and, if necessary, terminates maintenance personnel.
• Oversees major construction and installation activities.
• Performs studies pertaining to equipment modifications and process improvement.
• Prepares departmental budget for manpower and materials requirements.
• Ensure the support facilities (boilers, water treatment, generators, cooling systems, air compressors, …etc)uninterrupted operation to meet the production demand.
• Institute an effective preventive maintenance and spare parts management program to ensure efficient production operation within cost.
• Prepare and execute departmental budget for staffing, spares, consumables and major equipment overhauls.
• Perform the analysis and identify the maintenance function priorities and goals to deliver the AOP.
• Ensure that the maintenance workshop provides timely support to the plant operation
• Sets maintenance team performance standards and aligns with the organization.
• Ensure safe operating conditions over the plant and correct any unsafe conditions.
• Develop staffing and skill building plan to build his technical team.
• Lead problem solving activities and coaches the maintenance team on process improvement.
• Communicate maintenance activities and performance regularly to Plant Manager and other department head.
