Field Specialists

Baker Hughes Incorporated     Are you ready for a hands-on role in the field?

What do field specialists do?

Field specialists are important to the success of our operations. Performing skilled technical services, usually at the wellsite, they operate the tools and technologies that deliver solutions to our customers. Field specialists support our field engineers and are required to perform complex tasks like preparing equipment and ensuring that activities are safe, efficient, and carried out as quickly as possible. This is a challenging hands-on job. You will need to be prepared to work outdoors and cope with sometimes harsh and demanding conditions.

What do we look for?

To be considered for the field specialist development opportunity, you must have completed a 2-to-3-year qualification in a technical or engineering-related subject.

English is the business language of Baker Hughes. As you progress through your career, there is an expectation that a good command of the English language may be required for you to fulfill your role effectively. English competency requirements will vary based on location and business needs.

What do we offer?

Our field specialists receive all the training they need to be successful in the field through a two--phase training and development program. Phase one includes the completion of a 12-month structured program where you learn more about the oil and gas industry, gain theoretical knowledge, and apply practical skills at the wellsite. Phase two combines e-learning and instructor-led training modules, and you and your career goals drive the pace of development.
