This is an excellent opportunity for a software engineer to take ownership and deliver leading edge software in a core networking product. The engineer will design and implement high performance software for core switch/routers with the objective of making orders of magnitude improvements in performance.
The candidate should be self driven and have the ability and willingness to carry a project to completion. This includes requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, project management and documentation.
Skills Required:
================
o Expertise in C and C++ and one ore more scripting languages (Perl, Python, shell).
o Excellent familiarity with a Unix development environment: system setup, gdb, make/gmake, cscope, ctags, gcc, prof/gprof etc.
o Knowledge of testing, profiling and optimization of large scale system software
o Experience with sorting and searching algorithms, advanced data structures and operations research.
Additional Experience:
================
o Solid understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, multicast, MPLS, IPv6.
o Familiarity with FIBs, ACLs, Netflow, forwarding basics, TCAM3/TCAM4
o Driver development experience in a Linux environment desirable.
o Experience working with IOS, Cat4K, Cat6K, NXOS, and N7K development.
o Solid understanding of advanced algorithms and data structures such as hashing, tries, Poisson distribution, Shannon entropy, NP-completeness.
Education:

o B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science with 7+ years experience
