Description
The Software Configuration Manager manages and audits the processes, procedures and code bases spanning multiple product lines and projects in order to coordinate dispersed development efforts into single deployment procedures.
Essential Job Functions
Version Control Management-branching, tagging, merging for Android project.
Code conflict resolution-able to resolve conflicts between code revisions
Configures builds via build Gerrit and Git servers:
-Administers production build servers
-Builds and compiles code into deployable artifacts
Manages and facilitates release planning:
-Facilitates development team coordination
-Prepares production artifacts
-Prepares release documentation for deployment team
-Audits release process and validates accuracy according to PMI standards
-Tracks releases for historical reference
-Relates releases and production defects
Schedules and governs deployment of artifacts to test and QA environments
Manages software development knowldge base and audit documentation
Delivers relevant reports regarding changes within the SCM domain
Qualifications
Required Experience
Education: Bachelors degree in computer science or related field with 4+ years of experience in total
At least 1-2 years SCM and/or Programming experience or related (ex. Release Manager, Build Engineer)
High attention to detail.
Fluent in technical terminology; able to communicate information to technical staff.
Ability to comprehend and learn varying computer languages.
Must be proficient on Windows and Linux operating systems.
Must be familiar with Java, Perl and .Net code.
Must be able to manage code bases under Version Control Systems (VCS): CVS, Subversion and Vault/Sourcesafe.
Must have the ability of merging, tagging, branching, diffing and product versioning using VCS tools.
Product deployment validation experience.
Build management documentation experience with statistic about the SCM environments (Provide the necessary information to R&D community)
Ability to apply automation and scripting in Shell, Perl, Python, etc
Preferred Qualifications

SharePoint
Linux Android build system
Basic Microsoft Office abilities
