Job Description




This role will involve leading and performing the IT testing on core applications within integrated audits and assisting on IT specific audits (covering infrastructure and processes). The individual will be involved in conducting all stages of reviews from planning to reporting, to assess the adequacy of the internal controls and adherence to corporate governance. The individual will also be responsible for providing training and coaching to business auditors on basic IT general controls.




You will be responsible for assisting in implementing the data analytics strategy (including continuous monitoring and auditing) for the organization and providing recommendations to automate and streamline processes. The role requires providing coaching and training for the team, writing simple and complex scripts and identifying cost saving opportunities.







Responsibilities

Conduct all aspects of audits competently in a team leader capacity, including planning, fieldwork and reporting. Following up on open audit observations.

Identify areas of concern and communicate these to senior management in an unbiased and timely manner.




Manage multiple tasks through to completion within agreed timescales.

Drive and embed data analytics and the use of computer assisted audit techniques within the team and audit process.




Ensure continuous communication with immediate superior. Provide regular updates on audit progress and escalate issues or challenges faced proactively.

Ensure own technical skills are always advancing and are being kept in line with international best practice. Ensure familiarity with current issues in accounting/auditing/IT, research, continuing professional development and airlines business processes.




Manage the performance of internal auditor(s) and graduate auditor(s) to ensure they develop auditing skills and knowledge which provide maximum value for the business process and relevant for career advancement. Provide coaching to help development process where necessary.




Perform ad-hoc special projects as requested from time to time by senior management with minimal notice. Prioritize work effectively.

Develop and maintain work relationships with colleagues and business management, ensuring interaction during assignments is proactive and professional.

Undertake any other task assigned from time to time such as managing co-source partner, attending meeting to represent Internal Audit etc.



Requirements

You should have bachelor degree in computer science or related discipline with post graduate academic and/or professional qualification (e.g. CISA, CISSP).




You must have at least 3 years experience at a senior auditor level in IT auditing within aviation or Big 4 environment. Experience in airline business related auditing is preferred.
