Quality Control Engineer / Project Engineer Job - Manpower Middle East

Our client, a market leader for the design, engineering and fabrication of process equipment for Oil and Gas Industry is currently seeking to recruit a dynamic Quality Control Engineer Project Engineer reporting to the Project ManagerObjectivesPurpose of the roleThe role of the Quality Control Project Engineer is to1. Manage project quality control requirements 2. Liaise with Customers Customers Inspectors on quality control requirements 3. Manage 3rd party inspection certification requirement 4. Support the Project Manager on project related activities on individual projects 5. Manage individual work packages as allocated by the Project Manager Key Areas of Responsibility Understand project quality requirements and create quality plans and inspection and test plans as required including front sheets etc for submission to customers Ensure supplier sub-contractor inspection and test plans comply with project requirements and are incorporated into overall project inspection and test plans Ensure all inspection and test plans (both internal and suppliers sub-contractors) comply with all applicable codes and standards Ensure internal and supplier sub-contractors inspection and test plans are followed including review and approval of their procedures and databooks etc. Receive, reference, log and file all incoming test certificates and reports Raise inspection notices and issue to clients and 3rd party inspectors as necessary Manage customer inspectors and 3rd party inspectors when on site or at project sites or sub-contractor premises Manage all 3rd party certifications as required Create final project databooks manufacturing record books Support the project department in the closing out of all project documentation Work in accordance with and support the project manager business in developing and documenting quality control procedures and instructions Manage individual work packages as allocated by the Project Manager Support the Project Manager Projects department on other project issues as required Attend project kick off and progress meetings as required Visit project sites to manage quality issues as required Support goods inwards inspection as required Key Working RelationshipsInternalProject Manager Project Department Engineering Operations HSE SalesAdministrationBusiness support (Procurement etc)ExternalCustomers and Project RepresentativesSuppliersSub-Contractors3rd Party Inspectors Certification Companies
