Description




The Cloud Services team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Data OS Analytics engineering team in Burlington, MA. Data OS provides a central place to store, distribute and analyze data. Data OS Analytics is the analysis platform built specifically to capture, analyze and act on unlimited data points enabling the decision making to provide personalized and highly relevant experiences to consumres. This platform is geared to handle thousands of requests per second from users across Symbian, Meego and Nokia Windows Phone eco-systems. Work location is Burlington, MA.

Qualifications




Requirements:

· You are considered an expert in one or more of the following:




· Qt C++, including familiarity with Qt APIs for Qt Core, persistent data storage, file systems, databases, networking




· Standard C/C++, for example, on the Linux platform




· Microsoft C/C++ for the Windows Mobile, Windows CE or Windows Phone (e.g. device driver, COM) platform (including Win32 expertise).




· C# development for Windows Phone, Silverlight or desktop .NET environments.




· Logical device driver development for Windows Mobile, Windows CE or Windows Phone or Linux




· You have a strong, in-depth understanding of




· How to design usable, efficient and extensible APIs




· Scalable client-server protocols




· Networking protocols (TCP, IP, UDP and HTTP)




· Various serialization formats including JSON and XML




· Data synchronization solutions (SyncML, Active Sync)




· Advanced data-structures and algorithms for persistent storage and indexing




· You have implemented a database or indexing solution from the ground up.




· 5+ or more years working as mobile SW developer




· 8-10 years in SW Engineering




· Engineering or Computer Science degree.




· Execution focus with passion to meet and exceed business targets.




· Independent, proactive and think outside the box.




· Communicate and work well with the development team, architects, customers and colleagues in order to reach an optimized product development team.
