Job Purpose
The Cabin Appearance Duty Manager is responsible to the Manager Cabin Maintenance for conformance to all CAR-OPS 1 requirements during incorporation of Cabin Maintenance. This will include Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, NRs ensuring they are carried out in accordance with AMM, CMM, and Cabin Standards Manual with adherence to Etihad's Sub-Part M (maintenance) approval within the Etihad Air Operator Certificate (AOC).
Responsibilities
You will be responsible to:
Liaise closely with all concerned departments to ensure communication and coordination of cabin maintenance activities.
Review and monitor the status of cabin maintenance work assigned ensuring high standards of quality and work is carried out in accordance with AMM, CMM and the Cabin Standards manual.
Resolve technical problems and provide effective solutions in accordance with all policies and standards
Manage and coach all works and contracted suppliers who physically perform Cabin Maintenance. He analyses and monitors the condition of Etihad cabin condition, and the work performance of the staff and parties involved.
Working with and assisting Etihad Engineering, external BFE vendors in resolving in-service issues and providing probable causes and solutions.
Evaluate technical information from various parties and to then make competent decisions to provide clear direction to your Shift Leaders & Team Leaders.
Keep teams updated with latest cabin technical information through regular staff briefings.
Ensure workplace safety, effective working practices and compliance with all policies and procedures.
Monitoring aircraft documentation to ensure it is completed in an accurate and timely manner and ensuring that the aircraft cabins are certified for release to service.
Proactively monitor his staffs health and safety requirements and raise risk assessments when required.
Requirements
Must have had formal training of an aeronautical nature and be a holder of JAR 66 license, in addition have extensive knowledge in Cabin Maintenance gained through experience.
In addition to above; you are required to have the following:
Post holder must be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of cabin maintenance gained over a period of not less than 10 years, with a proven track of success in cabin maintenance from previous employment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High computer literacy
Excellent knowledge of aviation regulations (e.g. JAA, EASA, FAA and/or UAE GCAA)
Excellent knowledge of cabin line maintenance operations
