Job Purpose

Responsible to have complete control of the Certificate of Airworthiness renewals for the entire

Etihad fleet as required by the CAR M regulations. Liaise with the Fleet Airworthiness Managers

to ensure timely C of A renewals are carried out and assisting in the physical aircraft surveys,

document reviews and aircraft audits.




Responsibilities

Responsible in conducting aircraft physical inspections and technical records review for C of A renewals.

Responsible for developing and control of an aircraft inspection schedule to ensure timely aircraft physical inspections and document reviews take place.

Responsible for planning with EY OMPC, ADAT planning and Technical Records to establish/schedule aircraft ground times and maintenance slots for the aircraft physical inspections.




Responsible in maintaining aircraft C of A renewal history and tracking of documents through a computerized system and have quick access to records inspection by the GCAA.




Liaises with GCAA on Certificate of Airworthiness issue, renewals and recommendations on behalf of the Head of Quality and follow up.

Responsible for the development and control of the checklists required for the C of A renewals.




Responsible in reviewing reports related to the Airworthiness Review

Certificate inspections and informing Snr Manager Quality Airworthiness of adverse trends or areas requiring urgent attention and improvement.

Evaluate, coordinate and carry-out projects that are deemed necessary by the Snr Manager Quality Airworthiness to enhance the Airworthiness functions of the departments.



Requirements

Qualifications and Education:




An appropriate license in compliance with CAR 66 or an aeronautical degree or a national equivalent.

Experience

Minimum of two (2) years experience in continuing airworthiness, preferably in

Technical/Quality Department. Previous company authorisations as a Certifying Engineer for (3) three years would be preferable.

Training

Formal aeronautical maintenance training

GCAA CAR M training

Training related to issue and renewal of Airworthiness Review Certificate or Certificate of Airworthiness

Minimum aircraft specific Level 1 Type Training (Level 3 Type training is an advantage)

Knowledge

Knowledge of aircraft/engine systems

Knowledge of aircraft/engine documentation and record keeping.

Proven ability to manage technical projects.
